Little Pintos compete at recent meets

The Little Pintos competed Oct. 20 at the Mexico meet. Moses Bestgen finished in fourth place with a time of 8:54, and Bralynn Porter finished in fifth place with a time of 9:42 in the 2K 8 and under group.

Winnie Wood medaled and finished in sixth place with a time of 13:58 in the 3K for the 9-10 age group.

On Oct. 27, the Little Pintos ran at the championship meet in Columbia. In the 8 and under girls age group, there were 38 runners, and California had two medal. Bralynn Porter finished in fifth place with a time of 10:02, and Jamie Morrow finished in eighth place with a time of 10:35.

The 8 and under boys age group had 46 runners - Carson Lebel finished in fourth place with a time of 9:15, and Moses Bestgen finished in sixth place with a time of 9:20.

The team also had eight Pintos make the top 10 STAR standing in their age group.
