Cross country places at Boonville Invitational

The California Pintos High School boys varsity cross country team finished in second place at the Boonville Invitational Sept. 24.

The California Pintos boys cross country varsity team finished in second place at the Boonville Invitational on Sept. 24. California as a team finished with 85 points, and Grandview finished in first place with 27 points.

Caden Kirksey finished in fifth place with a time of 17:14.64, Trevor Porter finished in ninth place with a time of 18:01.65, Colby Sommerer finished in 23rd place with a time of 19:41.39, Ian Miller finished in 33rd place with a time of 20:21.75, Eli Dunnaway finished in 35th place with a time of 20:25.98, and Nathan Ireland finished in 38th place with a time of 20:36.34. Kirksey and Porter both medaled for the Pintos.

In the boys junior varsity race, William Ireland finished in ninth place with a time of 21:16.37, Cole Kirksey finished in 12th place with a time of 21:55.66, Joseph Menchaca finished in 24th place with a time of 24:26.81, and Peter Dampf finished in 32nd place with a time of 28:42.59.

In the girls varsity race, Sarah Kirby finished in sixth place with a time of 23:24.23, and Leona Hudson finished in 11th place with a time of 32:43.02. Kirkby medaled for the Pintos.

The middle school boys cross country team finished in second place at the Boonville Invitational on Sept. 24. The Pintos finished with 43 points, and Knob Noster Middle School finished in first with 28 points.

Will Boyd finished in fourth place with a time of 10:12.37, Ethan Jakes finished in fifth place with a time of 10:16.82, Alex Thomas finished in 14th place with a time of 11:00.12, Andrew Reed finished in 17th place with a time of 11:14.05, Damien Pace finished in 20th place with a time of 11:44.45, and Gabe Mills finished in 39th place with a time of 14:37.32. Thomas also finished in 77th place in the high school race with a time of 24:35.17.

The middle school girls team finished in first place with 25 at the Boonville Invitational on Sept. 24. Knob Noster Middle School finished in second with 32 points.

For the girls team, Kenzleigh Goans finished in first place with a time of 10:33.25, Camryn Wingate finished in third place with a time of 11:50.25, Allie Heather finished in fourth place with a time of 11:53.25, Vanessa Hernandex finished in fifth place with a time of 12:04.25, Caoliee Box finished in 17th place with a time of 15:31.19, Bennett Gatlin finished in 18th place with a time of 15:42.20, Azalee Elliot finished in 20th place with a time of 16:08.49, Nathalia Hurtado finished in 21st place with a time of 16:27.47, and Sherlyn Escobedo finished in 22nd place with a time of 16:30.71.
