High Point volleyball holds eighth grade night

High Point volleyball's eighth grade night was Oct. 8 - the team played the Capital City Comets and then had a parent game after the regular game.

High Point players Zoey Percival and Jillian Schmidt were the eighth graders recognized during the evening.

Percival, the daughter of George and Denise Percival, will be attending California High School. At High Point, she's been involved in student council as this year's president and the 2018-19 vice president, band, volleyball and basketball. She plans to do something in forensics, engineering or programming when she grows up.

Schmidt, the daughter of Troy and Debra Schmidt, will be attending Russellville High School. At High Point, she's been involved in archery, basketball, volleyball, band, student council, softball and serves as the eight grade secretary/treasurer. She plans to be a kindergarten teacher and basketball/volleyball coach for middle school when she grows up.
