Kirksey qualifies for golf district

The California girls golf team finished in seventh place out of nine teams at its district match Oct. 8 in Columbia.

The team finished with 460 points.

Father Tolton Catholic finished in first with 356 points, MICDS finished in second with 361 points, Southern Boone finished in third with 384 points, Mexico finished in fourth place with 419 points, Blair Oaks finished in fifth place with 429 points, Boonville finished in sixth place with 436 points, Fulton finished in eighth place with 470 points, and New Bloomfield finished in ninth place with 492 points.

For the Pintos, Kendall Kirksey finished in a three-way tie for 20th place with a score of 104. Kirksey qualified for sectionals, which took place Oct. 14 in Columbia.

Lillian Eichelberger finished in 29th place with a score of 114, Kaitlyn Adams finished in 32nd place with a score of 119, Madison McCord finished in 36th place with a score of 123, and Kendal Marsh finished in 46th place with a score of 137.
