David Keith Renken

RENKENDavid Keith Renken, age 71, of Russellville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. He was born, January 26, 1948, in California, Missouri, a son of Edmond Oscar and Celeste Ellen (Dawson) Renk-en.On September 1, 1972, he was united in mar-riage to Jill Ann Winebrenner at the home of Jill'sparent's in California, Missouri. Together they shared the past 47 years of marriage.Keith was the seventh child born to his parents and was the only one to be born in a hospital. He attended High Point Grade School and graduated the eighth grade with academic honors. He then graduated Russellville High School in the class of 1966. For over 40 years, he worked as a livestock order-buyer for Don Fahrni who was a friend since high school and business partner. Keith and Don owned Renken and Fahrni Trucking Company for many years. Keith was proud to be the third genera-tion to live and work on his family's Century Farm which was purchased in 1904 by his grandfather.He was proud of his community and had served on the Board of Directors for the Russellville MFA. He was an avid softball player, playing left-field for the Corticelli Baptist and the California Merchants softball teams. Family was important to Keith and he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events.As an infant, his family attended Olean Christian Church. He was baptized at a young age in a creek near the church. Later, he was a member and had served as a deacon at Ninth Street Christian Church in Eldon. At the time of his passing, he was attending Olean Christian Church.Survivors include his wife, Jill Renken of the home; two daughters, Toni Randall and husband Steve of Russellville, Mis-souri and Melanie Hilbrenner and husband Eric of Concordia, Mis-souri; seven grandchildren, Blake Randall and wife Hannah, Shane Randall and wife Bethany, Quinn Randall, AvaMae Randall, Colby Whiteside, Georgia Whiteside and Scarlett Elder; four sisters, Frances Engelbrecht and Elaine Morris, both of Eugene, Missouri, Deloyce Barry of California, Missouri and Janice Theroff of St. Charles, Missouri; a brother, Gayle Renken of Centertown, Mis-souri and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Renken; brothers-in-law, Curtis Engelbrecht, Harold Barry, Danny Morris and Clyde Theroff; sisters-in-law, Lila and Janet Renken and his parents-in-law, Wilbert and Neville Winebrenner.A private family service will be held.
