Jewell Marie Birkmann

Jewell Marie Birkmann, 82, of Owensville, Mo., passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born on Jan. 14, 1938, to Ora and Florence (Redden) Carwile at Bay. She was united in marriage to Junior Henry Birkmann on Oct. 1, 1955, at the Methodist Parsonage in Owensville. Jewell was a member of Owensville Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Florence Carwile; husband, Junior Birkmann; son, Dale Birkmann; great-grandson, Jace Harris; and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Bill Birkmann and wife Debbie of Jamestown and Connie Coppedge of Mt. Sterling; sister, Zelda Beasley of Owensville; grandchildren, Jessica Bailey and husband Adam of Wardsville, Justin Coppedge and wife Brittany of Owensville, Ethan Garth and significant other Madison Ragan of Owensville and Stephanie Birkmann and significant other Cole Rackers of Jefferson City; and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Clara Coppedge, Blayne Bailey, Jaxon Harris and Caelynn Bailey. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstoeter Chapel in Owensville. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel with Pastor Patric Klingforth officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens. Visitation and service are open to the public but please observe restrictions. Masks are requested but not mandatory.
