Dorothy Francis

Dorothy Francis, 84, of California, Mo., passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at California Care Center. She was born March 15, 1936, in Centertown, the daughter of Clyde and Edith (Taggart) Plaster. She graduated from California High School. Dorothy was married to John Francis on June 18, 1954, at Centertown Baptist Church. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She worked for Dr. Lionel Gallagher for several years and later retired from Unilever. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and gardening. Dorothy is survived by her son, Jeff Francis (Becky); grandson, Anthony Francis (Deborah); her brother, Jim Plaster (Deloris); two sisters, Helen Borghardt and Carol Atkinson; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Francis; one brother, Herbert Plaster; one sister-in-law, Irma Plaster; and two brothers-in-law, Roy Borghardt and Donald Atkinson. Visitation and Services will be private at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Private family interment will be held at Sappington Community Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Scott Thomson.
