Duaine Allen "Hammer" Jungmeyer, 75, of Russellville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on November 21, 1945 in Jefferson City, a son of the late Victor and Martha (Linhardt) Jungmeyer. He was united in marriage on September 28, 1989 in Harrison, Arkansas to Marline Crocker, who preceded him in death on September 17, 2016. Duaine was a graduate of Russellville High School. In early years, he was employed with International Shoe Factory, Ralson-Purina and owned a local bar in Russellville, but for the last 41 years, was a contractor for the USPS. Duaine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. He enjoyed farming, good food, but most of all cherished the time he spent with his late wife and grandchildren. He is survived by six step-children; sister: Elaine Richards (Butch) of Tebbetts; grandchildren: Christopher Shirley, Nicole Ashley, Jakeb Everts, Jessica Everts, Jeremy Everts, Joshua Everts, Jennifer Bennick, Jarrod Holmes, Judson Everts, Dylan Everts and Makayla Everts; close friend and farming buddy: Justin Goldammer and several nieces. Duaine was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother: Ronald Jungmeyer, and one grandson: Jonathan Everts. A private funeral service was held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Russellville, with Rev. Edward Merckel officiating. Interment followed in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Russellville, Missouri. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville, Missouri.
