Theresia Elizabeth Higgins

Theresia Elizabeth Higgins, 86, of Centertown, Mo., passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at the Arbors in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born on May 4, 1934, in Linn, Mo., the daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth (Haslag) Jaegers, both of whom preceded her in death. She attended Theology School with the Catholic Church. Theresia later was married on July 8, 1978, in Loose Creek, Mo. to Clifford "Cliff" Higgins who preceded her in death on January 5, 2020. After many years she retired as a Radiation Technologist for Capital Region Medical Ctr. She was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church. Theresia enjoyed quilting, gardening, being the historian for the Centertown American Legion Aux. and helping Cliff farm. Theresia is survived by her in-laws, Mary Kirchner and husband Jerry, Dorothy Lairmore and husband Bill, all of Centertown and Floyd Frank of Osage Co., also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerome, Bernard and Frances Jaegers; five sisters, Sister Mary Louise Jaegers, Clarebelle Jaegers, Anna Marie Frank, Agnes Frank and Connie Frank. Visitation was held on Friday, May 29, 2020, from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home with Funeral Services following at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Officiating was Father Stephen Jones. Interment was at the New Hope Cemetery near Centertown. Memorials are suggested to the New Hope Cemetery c/o the funeral home.
