David Patrick O'Brien

David Patrick O'Brien, 34, of Jamestown, Mo., passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at his home. He was born on March 15, 1986, in St. Charles, Mo., the son of Peggy Lynn (O'Brien) McElwee of the home. David was a member of the Lupus Baptist Church. He worked for Veterans United for many years as a loan officer. David enjoyed playing baseball and basketball for Jamestown C-1 Schools, being with friends and spending time with his family. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Columbia College. David is survived by his mother, Peggy McElwee of the home; special aunt, Becky Johnston of Tipton, Mo.; maternal grandfather, Frank O'Brien and wife Dorothy of Syracuse, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Ava Dick of Licking, Mo.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by one uncle, Phillip Pratt. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Jamestown C-1 Baseball Team c/o the funeral home.
