Lois Jean Heather, 81, of Clarksburg, Mo., passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born on October 26, 1938 at the Latham Hospital in California, the daughter of Floyd and Bonnie (Allee) Smith, both of whom preceded her in death. Lois was a graduate of California High School. She then was united in marriage on June 16, 1957 to Jack Heather, who preceded her in death on June 9, 2013. Lois was a member of the California U.C.C. She worked for Stride Rite, JT Plumbing and retired in May of 2002 for the Tipton Latham Bank. Lois enjoyed traveling in her motorhome with her husband to Arizona for the winters. She also enjoyed dancing and going to the LOMO Club, going to the casino and trips with Elsie and Charlene to get ice cream. More than anything Lois loved spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Mitchell Heather and wife Char of Clarksburg and Dwayne Heather of California, Mo.; one daughter, Jackie Heather of California, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jason and wife Lori Heather, Jennifer, Jessica, Nicole and Chloe Heather; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters in-law, Lucille Barbour, Joyce Heather, Mary Heather; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo. Memorials are suggested to the California U.C.C., c/o the funeral home.
