Jerry Lee Fulks

Jerry Lee Fulks, 75, of Latham, Mo., passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. He was born on February 13, 1945, at home near Latham the son of Pete and Opal (Combs) Fulks, both of whom preceded him in death. Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Tipton High School. He was united in marriage on September 19, 1965, at the Latham Christian Church to Laurel Ann Smith who preceded him in death on February 21, 1990. Jerry helped build Ralston Purina and started working as a Forklift Operator on the loading dock and retired with Cargill after 44 years. He was a lifelong member of the Latham Christian Church. He also served on the Highland Cemetery board. Jerry farmed, enjoyed driving his team of mules, playing cards and dominoes, loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports and rodeo. Jerry never met a stranger and was always ready to visit with anyone. He is survived by four sons, Kevin Fulks (Melinda) of Bolivar, Mo., Chad Fulks (Karen) of Syracuse, Mo., Justin Fulks (Mandy) of Latham, Mo. and Lance Fulks (Morgan) of Latham, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Hannah Fulks of Latham, Mo.; brother, Kenneth Fulks (Clara) of California, Mo.; brother-in-law, Larry Stokes of Syracuse; special friend, Sherry Cox of Clarksburg, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, Emmett and Myra Haas, Ollie and Kate Fulks, Grant and Cheyenne Fulks, Lee Fulks, Adrianna Thompson, Colten Pendleton, Gatlin Fulks, Kolten and Bella Fulks; one great- grandchild, Paisleigh Thompson and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by sons, Lee Fulks and Terry Fulks; daughter, Michelle Fulks; and sister, Katherine Stokes. Visitation was held on Monday, October 19, 2020, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Latham Christian Church. Officiating wwas the Rev. Jim Randall. Burial was at Highland Cemetery near Latham. Memorial contributions are suggested to Latham Christian Church or the Highland Cemetery c/o the funeral home. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo.
