John Paul (Jack) Haldiman

John Paul (Jack) Haldiman, 86, of Cottonwood, Ariz., formerly of Wichita, Kan. and California, Mo., passed away Monday, March 25, 2021. He was born June 15, 1934, the son of Paul Roy and Alverta Rose Heinen Haldiman. He attended Harlan School with his siblings, where they were taught by their mother and was a 1952 graduate of California High School. On December 23, 1978, Jack was married to Helen Dolores Walton, who preceded him in death in 2001. During his career, Jack was a stockbroker and worked for Latour Management and Docuplex in Wichita, Kan. Jack was a kind, compassionate man with a gift of making everyone who knew him feel special. He was a fan of baseball and football, especially the Kansas City Royals, Chiefs, and Arizona Diamondbacks. His favorite hobbies were keeping current with the stock market, world and national news, politics, traveling, and enjoying a good poker game at his favorite casino. Jack was very proud of and loved his family. He is survived by his grandchildren, Nathaniel Paul Haldiman, Meagan Rose (Luke) Shawhan; daughter-in-law, Marcia Haldiman; great-granddaughters, Roselyn Jewel Shawhan, Caroline Mae Shawhan; step-daughter, Cyndie Ewy; step-son, Jack (Patty) Walton; step-grandchildren, Jay Ewy, Jennifer Ewy, Andrea (Jason) Roberts, Jordan Walton; step- great-grandchildren, Easton Ewy, Paige Ewy, Piper Ewy, Elouise Walton, Amelia Walton; sisters, Dwena (Robert) Winkler, Madelyn (Ron) Kyle; sister-in-law, Doris (Loyd) Haldiman-Fulks; many nieces and nephews; his special friend, Janice Knoblauch; and many friends in Cottonwood, Ariz. In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was preceded in death by his son, John David Haldiman; daughter, Mary Jacklyn Haldiman; infant son, Jack Earl Haldiman; and brother, Dennis Roy Haldiman. A family and friends graveside service is pending on a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo.
