Menno M Ramer

Menno M. Ramer, 80 years, 10 months and 18 days of High Point, Missouri died from cancer at his home on April 7, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. He was born on May 20, 1940, in Wakarusa, Indiana, a son of the late Samuel and Martha M. Ramer. Menno was married to Katherine B. Kilmer on September 21, 1961, in Narvon, Pennsylvania, where they lived for a year before moving to Indiana and in 1976, they moved to Missouri. He was a farmer, carpenter, wood worker and from 1997-2020, was the salesman at Ramer Brothers Furniture. Menno was a member of Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; 10 children, Edwin (Esther Mae) of Gorin, Missouri, James (Rosann) of High Point, Missouri, Russell (Joyce) of High Point, Missouri, Lloyd (Edna) of Rutledge, Missouri, Delores Shirk (Wayne) of Centertown, Missouri, Annetta Weaver (Gerald) of Versailles, Missouri, Sarah Ann Martin (Jerry) of Stover, Missouri, Steven (Lisa) of High Point, Missouri, John Allen (Norma) of High Point, Missouri, and Michael (Reba) of High Point, Missouri; 71 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Martin (Enos) of Nappannee, Indiana, Iva Martin (Jason) of Wakarusa, Indiana; brothers, Elmer (Esther) of Carson City, Michigan, Morris (Elsie) of Syracuse, Missouri, Dana of Elkhart, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Rachel Ramer of Wakarusa, Indiana, Anna Ramer, of Goshen, Indiana; brother-in-law, Henry Martin of Ionia, Iowa. Menno was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sheila Joann Shirk; great-grandson, Lyndon Brice Ramer; sisters, Margret Ramer, and Vera Martin; brothers, Lawrence and John Ramer; and sister-in-law, Lydia Ann Ramer. Family and friends were received on Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m at the Pleasant Hill Community Center in Latham, Missouri and on April 12, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services was held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church in Latham with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
