Judy Bochard

Judy Bochard, 79, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, at her home surrounded by family. Judy was born on April 15, 1941, a daughter of Malcolm and Opal Zimmerman. She was married on September 29, 1971, to Nelson Bochard who survives of the home. For many years, Judy worked as a legal secretary for various attorneys. She also worked at the Governors Office for John Ashcroft. Judy finished her career at Central Bank where she was the Administrative Assistant to the president. Judy enjoyed reading, cooking, and sewing, but mostly loved spending time with her two grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Porter of California; her son, Todd Gabert of California; and grandchildren, Taylor Porter of St. Louis and Zachary Gabert of California. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Carmen Zimmerman of Independence, Mo., along with several nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelley Gabert of California; and two siblings, James (Betty) Zimmerman of Arkansas and Janet (John) Bowlin of Kansas City. A celebration of life for Judy was held Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. at the California Masonic Cemetery.
