Robert (Bob) W. Crawford, 90, of California, Mo., passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born on December 12, 1930, in rural Moniteau to Arthur Reginald and Mary (Rohrbach) Crawford. Bob graduated from California High School in 1948 and enlisted in the US Navy following graduation. He was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea. Bob married Pauline (Kubli) on December 30, 1950, at Friendship Baptist Church. He worked for Standard Oil, Amoco and Mobil companies delivering petroleum products until he retired to the farm. Bob loved to farm, fish and hunt. He was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served as a trustee for many years. Bob helped organize and was a charter member of the California Shooters Club. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and served as caregiver for his grandsons, Michael and Ryan, after the death of their mother, Teresa Crawford Bell. Bob is survived by one son Larry (Donna) Crawford of California, Mo.; three daughters, Shelley (Lonnie) Cooper of Jamestown, Mo., Carol (Dale) Hodges of Clarksburg, Mo. and Janet (Gail) Wolfrum of California, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren; one sister, Betty Smith of Columbia, Mo.; brother, Lanny (Sharon) Crawford of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Franklin Kubli of Omaha, Neb.; one sister-in-law, Karen Collins of Plattsmouth, Neb.; and a special friend, Goldie Marshall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; daughter, Teresa Bell; and siblings, Allen Crawford, Anabelle Crawford Harris and 3 infant brothers. Visitation was held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Funeral Services followed at noon, with Rev. Scot Thomson and Rev. Rusty Thomas officiating. Interment was at Sappington Community Chapel Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Friendship Baptist Church or the Bloch Cemetery.
