Jordan Shane Giesing, 42, of Jefferson City, joined his father in the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, January 4, 2021, at his home surrounded by his wife, mother, and children. Jordan, known to many as Bo, was born June 22, 1978, to Doris Ann (Bryan) Giesing and the late William C. Giesing. Jordan was a hardworking, single dad, who always put his children first. He was a very proud and devoted father; his sons and daughters were the joy of his life. On March 10, 2015, Jordan met his soulmate, Amy Grabb, and together they started their ever-after, finally tying the knot on October 30, 2020. Amy was Jordan's caregiver from the day of diagnosis until Jordan was called home. During this courageous two-and-a-half-year battle, she was his angel here on earth. Jordan lived by the motto "family first", which was instilled to him and his siblings by their mother. Jordan and his siblings were inseparable. Jordan hopes his children have been instilled with that same value. Jordan worked for Unilever for 22 years, most recently as a shipping clerk. Jordan was a self-taught computer whiz and an amazing artist, who shared his love of art with his children, nieces, and nephews. Jordan enjoyed making people laugh and had a great sense of humor that lightened many situations. Jordan had many hobbies that were imparted to him by his father. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, vehicle work and spent many hours with his sons working on project cars. Jordan also had a profound love and respect for all animals and leaves behind his fond companions Oakley, Remi, and Dexter. Jordan was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. In addition to his wife: Amy, Jordan is survived by his mother: Doris Giesing; four sons: Blake Giesing of Jefferson City, Aidan Giesing of Jefferson City, Kyle Thompson (Ashley Fogle) of Jefferson City, Dakota Rose of Bunceton, Mo.; three daughters: Hannah Giesing of Jefferson City, Abby Giesing of Jefferson City, Haylee Rose of Bunceton, Mo.; one brother: Jason Giesing (Kari) of California, Mo.; two sisters: Jolene Dummermuth (Nathan) of California, Mo., Jill Martin (Chris) of Republic, Mo., and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William, and by one son, Jeffrey Thompson. Jordan was a private person, and at his request, there will be no services. The family will plan a celebration of life at a later date. Condolences may be sent to Jordan's family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of TYLER M. WOODS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, 611 E Capitol Ave., Jefferson City, Missouri 65101. (573) 636-2424
