Elnora Mae Barbour,, of Russellville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri. She was born June 26, 1937, at California, Missouri, a daughter of Marion Leonard and Flossie Alice (Nott) Bilyeu. Elnora was married to Donnie Barbour on July 23, 1956. Elnora and Donnie were blessed with six children, to whom she was an attentive mother and caregiver, instilling in them a love of learning. An industrious homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, was an excellent cook, and supported Donnie on their farm. Donnie preceded her in death on December 24, 1985. Elnora had a quiet firm faith in the Baptist tradition and had been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She found solemn joy in pride and love of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elnora is survived by her five daughters, Julie (Mike) Murphy of Galena, Missouri, Deborah (Mike) Wyss of Russellville, Missouri, Suzanne (Matt) Howard of Eldon, Missouri, Joann (Dwight) Couch of Alamagordo, New Mexico, Stacy (Scott) Jackson of Wildwood, Missouri; and son, Donald (Kim) Barbour Jr., of Jamestown, Missouri, 15 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Elnora was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald Lee (Margaret) Bilyeu; and six sisters, Anna (Arthur) Lademann, Melva (Harry) Eveland, Frances (Joseph) Lowe, Helen (Gilbert) Martinez, Blanche (Ernie) Bishop and Delores Bilyeu. She is also survived by one brother, Dale (Margi) Bilyeu of California, Mo.; and three sisters, Donna (Charles) Moore of Appleton City, Missouri; Dorthy (Bob) Rescinito of Wilmington, Delaware; and Brenda (Bryant) Burton of Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be held at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California, Missouri on Saturday, March 13, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and funeral services at the funeral home Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., with interment following at Latham Cemetery, Latham, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. Per CDC guidelines social distancing and masks are suggested. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St., California, MO.
