Frederick Jr. "Freddy" Lee Schlup

Frederick "Freddy" Lee Schlup Jr., 45, of Jamestown, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on September 9, 1975, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Frederick Lee Schlup Sr. and Carol (Hendricks) Schlup, both of whom survive in California, Mo. Freddy was a graduate of Jamestown High School in 1995. He was united in marriage on December 20, 1997, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ to Karen (Schoenthal) Schlup, who survives of the home. Freddy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in California, Mo. He was an over-the-road truck driver and owner of Sloopy's Logistics. Freddy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, loved watching movies, playing pool, fishing, trucking, working on his semi, putting together his models, and restoring vehicles. Survivors include: one godson, Ross Gerlach of Jamestown, Mo.; one goddaughter, Kelsie Bailey of Bonnots Mill, Mo.; one sister, Shelly Masters of Gainesville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Leroy and Genevieve Schlup; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Helen Hendricks; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Wanda Schoenthal; and his loving dog, Bingo. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. 12 noon with a Memorial Service immediately following at 12 noon, all at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Evandro Kopper, assisted by Bro. David Griffith. Inurnment will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Per CDC guidelines social distancing and masks are suggested. Memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund or Hospice Compassus, c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St. California, Mo.
