Linda` M. Deaton

Linda M. Deaton, 73, of rural Centertown, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. Linda was born October 27, 1947, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the Herbert J and Dora (Jungmeyer) Goldammer. She married Orren L. Deaton on August 20, 1967, together they shared 54 years of marriage. She enjoyed planting and tending flowers, gardening and her time socializing with her Eagles Club friends in California and Jefferson City. She loved animals and adored her pet beagle, Madi. Linda is survived by her husband, Orren L. Deaton of rural Centertown and her sister, Wanda (Randy) Utermoehlen of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was employed with the State of Missouri for over 30 years and retired in 2008, from the Office of Budget and Planning. In accordance with Linda's wishes, there will be no funeral service or scheduled public viewing. Private graveside services will be conducted for the immediate family. Burial will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Memorials in her name are suggested to People Helping Paws Cat Rescue of Jefferson City or Calvary Lutheran High School of Jefferson City.
