Pauline G. Simmers

Pauline G. Simmers, 96, a resident of the Springfield (Ohio) Masonic community, formerly of Jamestown, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, July 23, 2014. She was born on June 7, 1918 in Jamestown, Missouri, the daughter of the late John Edward and Clara Adeline Sidonia (Heyssel) Willers. Pauline worked as a clerk at JC Penney, a waitress, "Rosy the Riveter" at McDonnell Aircraft, and as an interior seamstress at Boeing. She was an avid quilter and gardener. Pauline is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Camille and James Cary of Springfield, OH; two sisters, Marie Gentzsch and Geraldine Gentzsch, both of Jamestown, MO; two grandchildren, Steven Charles (Tamara) Cary of Bellbrook, OH and Traci (Kevin) Cary Myers of Murfreesboro, TN; and two great grandsons, Samuel and Adam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and her husband of 70 years, Harold W. Simmers on April 21, 2007. Funeral services will be held at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Service, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be Mr. Jack Bowlin. Visitation will be held from 12 noon - 2:00 P.M at the funeral home. Burial will be in California Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Church c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.
