Dennis Dewayne Diamond

Dennis Dewayne Diamond, 60, of Jefferson City, died on Friday, October 17, 2014, at Tipton Oak Manor in Tipton, MO. He was born July 15, 1954, in Amarillo, TX, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James E. Diamond. Dennis served in the Army from 1972 to 1975 and in the Navy from 1976 to 1980. He worked as a corrections officer for MO State Corrections in Pacific, Husky Manufacturing also in Pacific, was a convenient store clerk in both Jefferson City and Ashland, and retired from work in 2006 for health reasons. Dennis is survived by his companion: Connie Struempf; two daughters: Becky and Kim Diamond; two grandchildren; and one brother: Kenny Diamond. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Megan Diamond. Funeral services were Thursday, October 23, at Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City, with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Burial followed at Big Rock Cemetery, Barnett, MO.
