Paula K. Hanauer, 63, of California, MO passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at California Care Center in California, MO. She was born on June 1, 1951 the daughter of Paul and Kathleen (Suiter) Truitt both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on March 24, 1973 in Weableau, MO to Ed Hanauer who survives of the home. Paula was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in California, MO. She graduated from Weaubleau High School in 1969, and then Lincoln University with a Teachers certificate for Home Economics, and History. She made Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls and sold them all over Missouri, even at Silver Dollar City. She loved camping, hunting, fishing, and going to horse shows watching Tammy show horses, and her kids sporting events, and going with her husband to watch sprint car racing, and also spending time with grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Kilmer and husband Justin of California, MO; two sons, Eddie Hanauer and Kelsey Whipple of California, MO, and P.J. Hanauer and Kim Turpin of California, MO; one sister, Pam Loehr and husband Doug of Collins, MO, 3 grandchildren Martin, Hayden Kilmer and Deyton Hanauer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Chapel in California, MO. Officiating will be Les Cassil and Sister Mary Ruth Wand. Burial will be at the California City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 11:00 - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the America Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO.
