Norma D Hofstetter

Norma D. Hofstetter,78, of Boonville, passed away at her home on Sunday evening, December 27, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She got her wish to have the entire family present to celebrate Christmas before her passing. Norma Dene Hofstetter was born in McGirk, Mo., December 31, 1936, the daughter of Wallace Clark and Mildred Audrey Crawford Clark. Norma graduated from California High School. She married the love of her life, Ross Hofstetter, November 13, 1955, in California and they are the parents of five children. Norma was a homemaker, raising five children and supporting her husband in their life together. Later she worked in the community as a waitress in order to fill in time on her hands following the empty nest syndrome. Norma was preceded in death by: her parents and two sons-in-law, Dane Gregg and David Dodson and one grandchild, Jason Oswald. She is survived by: her husband, Ross, of the home; her children, Clark (Robin) Hofstetter of Pleasant Hill, Mo., Debbie (Darrell) Bailey of Boonville, Vicki Rutledge (Walter) of Orlando, Fla., Jackie Gregg of Boonville and Audrey Patterson of Pleasant Hill. An empty space will be left in the hearts of: her grandchildren, Eric (Rochielle) Oswald, Blake (Alicia) Oswald, Courtney (Jeff) Stewart, Lindnsey (Sean) Leonard, T. R. Rhodes, Sara (Bobby) Werenke, Tyler Gregg, Shelby and Blair Hofstetter, Morgan and Kody Dodson; as well as seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way. Visitation for Norma will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friends may call from noon until time of the visitation. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 31, at the Nelson Memorial Methodist Church with Dr. Nick Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Eric Oswald, Blake Oswald, T.R. Rhodes, Tyler Gregg, Kody Dodson and Kay Hofstetter along with the honorary bearers, Poncho Brengarth, Tim Kelley, Darrell Bailey, Walter Rutledge, Jeff Stewart, Sean Leonard and Bobby Werneke. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request memorials be directed to Hometown Home Care and Hospice or to American Cancer Lung research.
