Dorma Yarnell, 92, of Clarksburg, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the Tipton Oaks Manor. She was born on December 19, 1922, in Callaway County to Roy and Neva (Merle) Stambaugh. She married Dewey Yarnell Jr., on October 18, 1951, who preceded her in death on October 3, 2005. Following high school graduation, she attended business school for one year. She was then employed with the Missouri State Health Department for about 12 years. Later she became a homemaker and a wonderful mother, who raised three daughters much on her own, as her husband was a long-distance driver. She also helped with her husbands, book work. She was known as being very kind and sweet, and she had a smile for everyone. She was a member of Clarksburg Baptist Church, where she enjoyed adult Sunday school class and church fellowships. She is survived by: three daughters, Kathryn Gump and Kerry Gump of California, Mo., and Kelly Rotunno and husband Russ of Glendora, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Angela Whittle of St. Martins, Rob Gump and wife Tarin of Russellville, Chris Gump and wife Alaina of Tipton, Craig Gump and wife Brandi of Blue Springs, Cheri Gump of Dallas, Texas, Kara Rotunno of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kimberly Rotunno of Glendora, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law, Harold Bryant of Park City, Kan.; and one sister-in-law, Mary Teegan of Carol Stream, Ill. She was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Stambaugh and sister, Glenna Bryant. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services. Burial will be at Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg, Mo. Officiating will be Rev. Leroy Moon, assisted by Bro. Geoff Oswald. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Clarksburg Baptist Church c/o the funeral home.
