Pauline M. Crawford, 85, of California, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Boone Hospital Center Columbia, Missouri. She was born on October 19, 1929 in rural Moniteau County to Truman and Bertha (Schwab) Kubli. Mrs. Crawford taught in the rural California R-1 School District. On December 30, 1950, Pauline was married to R. W. Crawford at Friendship Baptist Church. Pauline was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She was very active with the Children's Church Ministries including teaching Sunday school and vacation bible school, as well as being involved with Baptist Women. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver for her grandsons, Michael and Ryan, after the death of their mother. For thirty years, she assisted her husband as office manager and bookkeeper in his business. She enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music and crafting homemade greeting cards. Pauline is survived by: her husband, R.W. Crawford of the home; one son, Larry (Donna) Crawford, O'Fallon, MO; three daughters, Shelley (Lonnie) Cooper of Jamestown, MO, Carol (Dale) Hodges of Clarksburg, MO, and Janet (Gail) Wolfrum of California, MO; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Franklin (JoAnn) Kubli, of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister, Karen (Roy) Collins, Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Crawford Bell, in 1985 and a brother, Gene Kubli. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Windmill Ridge Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scot Thomson and Rev. Rusty Thomas officiating. Interment was at Sappington Chapel Cemetery, south of California, MO.
