Ronald A Jackson

Ronald (Ron) A. Jackson, age 71 of California, Mo., died on Thursday, April 12, 2018, after a 13 year battle with lymphoma. He was born on March 9, 1947, in Houston, Texas to Leon and Lorene Jackson. He graduated from Jesse Jones High School in Houston in 1965. He finished his degree from the University of Mississipi in geology in 1972. He moved to Houston, where he work with Texaco, City Service, Skelley Oil, Hunt Oil and other exploration companies during his professional career. Ron had a lifelong interest in rocks, minerals and fossils, and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He relocated to California, Mo. in the early 90's where he lived until his death. Survivors include: one daughter, April; four grandchildren, Gary, Weston, Alexander, and Katelynn; and two brothers, Edwin and Royce. He was preceded in death by daughter, Veronica and his parents, Leon and Lorene Jackson. The family takes comfort in that he is no longer in pain and is peacefully at rest with Jesus. Any gifts in his remembrance may be sent to Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, 600 Monroe, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Interment was held at the California City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Windmill Ridge Funeral Service.
