Bettie J. Hall

Bettie J. Hall, 83, of California, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Valley Park West, California. She was born on July 20, 1934 in California, to Louis and Ruby (Lehman) Coale. Bettie graduated from California High School in 1952. On February 26, 1953 at California United Church of Christ she was married to Emmette E. Hall, who survives of the home. She worked for John Kibbe Law Office and several years at the Moniteau Woolen Mills. She retired from the State of Missouri Department of Economic Development as an accountant. Bettie was a lifelong member of the California United Church of Christ and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Senior High Youth Sponsor and was in Women's Guild. Along with Emmette, she enjoyed their motorhome and loved camping with her family and friends. For several summers, she would gather her grandsons and travel and camp with them. She was a great cook, and her family will miss her homemade apple pie. Bettie is survived by: two sons, Dennis Hall (Carol) of Columbia and David Hall (Lexi) of California; four grandsons, Derek Hall (Sara) of Columbia, Jarrett Hall (Chelsea) of Ashland, Brett Hall (Kendra) of California and Craig Hall (Cyndi) of North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren, Quentin, Konrad, Imogen, Kayle, Easton, Hunter, Brynna, Jaelea Hall; one brother, Jerry Coale (Ruth) of California; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Goff. Funeral services were held Monday, May 21, 2018 at California United Church of Christ with Rev. Eugene Moll officiating. Interment followed at Evangelical Cemetery in California. Memorials may be made to the California United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or charity of donor's choice.
