Garry Lavern Strutton
Garry Lavern Strutton, age 48, of McGirk, passed away on
Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from failing health.
He was born August 27, 1970, at Jefferson City, Missouri, the
son of Carol Beal and Garry Strutton Sr., who preceded
him in death.
Garry Strutton loved the outdoors, animals,
cooking, and learning; starting small projects; was
a skilled technician, and a beloved family man.
When you didn't find him reading and learning
something new (including recipes) he was usually
outdoors maintaining his home, at church or
helping others. Mr. Strutton was a very active
member of Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk,
Missouri.
Mr. Strutton, spent most of his professional career with
CenturyLink. He was a graduate of Lincoln University and a
Computer Technician. He also loved the arts, music and theater.
Mr. Strutton also enjoyed working on and repairing electronics and
machinery.
However, Garry Strutton would tell you that his proudest
accomplishment was the unique love he shared with his earthly and
spiritual families including his siblings, nieces and nephews.
Those remaining to whom he passed on his love, wisdom, humor
and charm include: mother, Carol Beal; sister, Karen Scherer and
husband Rob; brother, Michael Alexander; three nieces, Gina Sanders,
Lindsey Scherer and Antebellum Kling; three nephews, Tony
Sanders, Langston Alexander and Isaac Scherer; and many other
relatives and friends.
A memorial funeral service was held at Lebanon Baptist Church
on Friday, March 22, 2019 with Bro. Jeremy Barnard officiating.
Interment was at the McGirk Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his memory to
Lebanon Baptist Church.

Funeral Services of California, Mo.
