Cheryl A. (Farris) Porter

Cheryl A. (Farris) Porter, 69, of California, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born October 14, 1951, in Eldon, Missouri, the daughter of the late Thomas Vernon and Fern Mae (Pace) Farris. On December 4, 1971, in Eldon, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Gary Porter who survives of the home. Cheryl was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Mo. and High Point Baptist Church of High Point, Mo. She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for over 40 years until her retirement. Included in her family was her much loved puppy Charlie. Other survivors include: daughters, Jennifer Porter (Herb Russell) of California, Mo., Angela (Porter) McKee (Shawn) of Centertown, Mo.; three grandchildren, Skylar Michael, Seth Michael and Cody Schnieders; one great-grandson, Aydan Miller; brother, Steve Farris (Gail) of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Becky Nilges of Eldon, Mo.; many much loved brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Monday, November 2, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo. Private Family Interment will be held at High Point Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in her name are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Mo. or the High Point Baptist Church of High Point, Mo. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
