Mary E. Anderson, 65, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, August 27, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1954, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late William E. Farris and Clara Rademan Farris. She was married on December 28, 1992, in Harrison, Arkansas, to Ronald James Anderson who survives at the home. Mrs. Anderson was employed for many years as a clerk-typist with the Missouri Department of Revenue. A member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, she enjoyed doing crafts with her family and, along with her husband, dressing up as Mrs. Santa Claus for area groups and nursing homes during the Christmas season. Other survivors include three children, Everett (Heather) Mertens, Columbia, Mo.; Tonya Mertens (Michael) Foxworthy, California, Mo.; and Michelle Shikles Hutton, California, Mo.; one step-daughter, Kelli Anderson, California, Mo.; six grandchildren; and nine siblings, Dave (Brandi) Farris, Jefferson City; Donald (Brenda) Farris, Russellville, Mo.; Gregory Farris, Taos, Mo.; Mark Farris, California, Mo.; Nick (Janet) Farris, Jefferson City; Mitch Farris, Linn, Mo.; Dennis Farris, Centertown, Mo.; Daniel "Fuzzy" Farris, Centertown, Mo.; and Tammy Inman, Jefferson City. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 30, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Holts Summit, Mo., with the Rev. Roberto Ike officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. The general public is welcome to attend the services while following social distancing guidelines. Facial coverings are required while in attendance. Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew Catholic Church or to the Central Missouri Kidney Association. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
