Michael A Baker

Michael A. Baker, 64, of California, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 25, 2020. He was born on November 25, 1955 in Peoria, Illinois, a son of the late Rev. Jesse and Bonnie (Roark) Baker. He was united in marriage to Renee Russell on August 15, 1992, in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from high school, Michael began working in the construction industry and did that for 40 years. He enjoyed collecting coins, reading about science and history, tinkering with inventions, planting a big garden and canning his produce. Michael was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church. What he loved the most was being the #1 guy in his daughters and granddaughters lives. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years Renee Baker; daughters, Maria Baker (Chris Lohnes), Sara Baker, and Pax Baker (Ben Worley); brothers, Scott Baker (Tammy) and Brian Baker (Dee); granddaughters, Makenna, Lilly, Kirra, Taylor and Tegan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Baker. Services are private for the family. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
