Kimberly Kay (Potter) Barnes, 44, of Tipton, Mo., passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born on January 1, 1977, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Calvin H. Potter whom preceded her in death and Debra (Hodges) Potter who survives in Tipton, Mo. Kimberly was a graduate of Tipton High School. She was united in marriage on April 30, 2005, at the Clarksburg Baptist Church to Craig Barnes who survives of the home. Kimberly worked for Burgers Smokehouse for over 16 years and most recently worked as a cook for the Tipton R-6 School. She was a member of the Clarksburg Methodist Church. Kimberly enjoyed drawing, crafts, art, cooking, and spending time with her family. Survivors include two sons, Austin Potter of the home, Travis Potter of the home; one daughter, Xandra Barnes of the home; two sisters, Michelle Hill of Tipton, Mo., Leslie Crider (Bruce) of Tipton, Mo.; multiple nieces and nephews; her dogs, Bubba and Wilson. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jennifer Potter; paternal grandparents, Hugh and Cecile Potter; and maternal grandparents, Freddie and Ruth Hodges. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, form 10:00 a.m. 12 p.m. with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 12 p.m., all at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rick Ashbaugh. Memorials are suggested to Donors Choice c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services.
