Ruth D. Stewart

Ruth D. Stewart, age 94, of Tucson, Ariz., departed this earth on Thursday, March 18, 2021, to be with the Lord. She was born Ruth D. Keeran in Centertown, Missouri on July 29, 1926. She was the last surviving child of Walter and Mary Virginia Keeran. She enjoyed the adoration of her loving husband Frank L. Stewart, to whom she was married for 52 years. Her first job was that of a teletype operator in Kansas City, Missouri at the President Hotel where she met Frank, the love of her life. Eventually Ruth and Frank journeyed westward and broadened their horizons when Frank was transferred to Los Angeles with Trans World Airlines. They ultimately owned and operated a travel agency in Hawthorne, California for 25 years. After retiring in 1989, they moved to Tucson, Arizona. Frank preceded her in death in 2001. She was an accomplished china painter and a talented singer. Her greatest joys in life were rooted in her family. She is survived by her children: George Ann Wurster (wife of Charles Wurster) and Jeffrey Stewart (married to Christine). Grandchildren include: Chas Wurster (wife April), Michael Wurster (wife Jennifer), Spencer Stewart, and Ashley Harrison (wife of Johnny Harrison). Great-grandchildren are: Charlie, Megan, and Paige Wurster; Bryce, Alyson, and Camryn Wurster; and Merci, Zane, and Tobias Harrison. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25, 2021, in Tucson, Ariz.
