Genevieve May Taylor

Genevieve May Taylor, 100, of California, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Valley Park West Retirement Facility in California, Mo. She was born in St. Paul, Neb. on May 14, 1921, the daughter of William and Victoria (Tuma) Brown, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised and spent her childhood in McFadden, Wyoming. She was first united in marriage to Sidney Holloway, who preceded her in death, and later united in marriage to Charles E. Taylor, who preceded her in death on April 14, 2010. Genevieve was a member of the First Baptist Church in California where she taught Sunday school and enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved knitting, hand quilting and was a wonderful cook. She is survived by niece, Vickie Cisewski of Silverton, Ore.; nephew, Mike Rodgers of The Villages, Fla.; and great-nephew, Josh Cisewski of Silverton, Ore. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Rodgers. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, with Pastor Jeremy Anderson officiating. Burial was at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Clarksburg. Memorial contributions can be made to Gideon's or First Baptist Church of California, Mo. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services of California, Mo.
