Anthony Cornine

Anthony Edwin Cornine, age 68, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo. He was born January 9, 1954, in Marshall, Mo., to William and Mary Elizabeth Rawlings Cormine. Anthony was a 1972 graduate of Marshall High School and attended Harding University. He was a member of Heat and Frost Local 27, Kansas City, Mo., and retired in September 2004. Anthony was married to Barbara Hazlett on June 11, 1994, in Boonville. He is also survived by three children: Katie (David) Rau, Boonville, Mo., Kevin (Michelle) Cornine, Flower Mound, Texas and Ryan Cornine, Fayette, Mo.; two step-children, Aaron (Donna) Hazlett, Springfield, Mo. and Ashley (Scott) Robertson, Whitby, Ontario, Canada; nine grandchildren, Clayton Finley, Alli (Josh) Kent, Isaiah Dodson, Alexis Rau, Broden Robertson, Peydan Rau, Kyler, Kayson and Lyla Cornine; one brother, Brad Cornine, Boonville, Mo.; two sisters, Carol Brown, Marshall, Mo. and Deborah Cornine, Oak Grove, Mo.; one uncle, Leroy Cornine, Nelson, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Church. Anthony loved being outdoors and enjoyed all the hours he spent fishing with family and friends in the Lamine, Blackwater, and Missouri Rivers. Anthony loved music from a young age and instilled that love in his children and grandchildren. His granddaughter Alli learned the piano basics from Anthony, and Anthony recently gave Peydan his guitar. Anthony was a member of the California Aerie #4027, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was the Secretary at California; he was also a dual member of Boonville Aerie #1022, Boonville, Mo.. He was a past State Officer of the Missouri Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Boonville, Mo. where until recent years was a member of the church choir. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, December 30, 2022, with the Funeral Service following at noon with Pastor Robin Paul officiating and Alli Kent providing the music at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Private family burial in the Berea Christian Church Cemetery, rural Blackwater, Mo. Pallbearers are Ben Church, Clayton Finley, Steve Liebi, Rick Smith, Brian Argetsinger, and Charlie Martin. The grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers. Memorials payable to the California FOE Aerie #4027, earmarked Anthony Cornine Memorial Fund.
