Norma Jean Boldt

Norma Jean Boldt, 89, of California, Mo., passed away on May 21, 2022, at Tipton Oak Manor. She was born November 22, 1932, in California, Mo., the daughter of Lloyd and Ollie (Flippin) Bowlin. She attended California High School. While working at a Woolen Mill, Jean met John Boldt and was married to him on September 8, 1951, in Hanover, Ill. Jean enjoyed sports. In her high school years, she played volleyball and softball. For several years she bowled in a bowling league. Also, Jean enjoyed sewing and quilting. She worked at California Manufacturing for several years, was a school bus driver for the California and Tipton School Districts, and with her husband owned and operated Boldt's Upholstery for 25 years. She was a member of California FOE #4027. Jean is survived by her son, Terry Boldt (Sherry) of Milton, Fla.; a grandson, Evan Boldt of Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by her husband, John Boldt, and three sisters, Louise Baker, Thelma Hume, and Margaret Wyler. In accordance with Jean's wishes, there are no services planned. Private inurnment will be held at the California City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to California High School.
