Shirley June Baer

Shirley June Baer (nee George), age 91, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth (nee Hampton) George, was born February 25, 1931, near Lupus, Missouri. Shirley graduated from Jamestown High School in May 1949, and married Paul David Baer in June 1949. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Jamestown and later became a member of the Moniteau Advent Church. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Paul David Baer; foster sister, Linda (Pierre) Wohlbold (Don); children, Bonita Baer, Terry Baer (Lynn), Jon Baer (Cindy), and Adam Baer (Laura); her grandchildren, Benjamin (Rachel), John, Caroline (Daniel), Henry, and Holly Baer. Her first great-grandchild is on the way! Loved ones who preceded her in death include sisters, Marion Baer and Carol Haldiman; brother, William George; and foster sister, Marion (Potter) Herndon. Shirley selflessly gave love and brought joy to countless friends, neighbors, and family for her nine decades on this earth and now rests peacefully with her Savior. Visitation will be held at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service from 10:00 - 11:30 Saturday, September 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Moniteau Evangelical Advent Church near Jamestown, with Rev. Steve Watson officiating and burial immediately following at the Church Cemetery.
