Emogene Schoeneberg

SCHOENEBERG
Emogene Schoeneberg, 98, of California, Mo. passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 14, 1924, in Clarksburg, Mo., second daughter of Charles C. and Beatrice Williams Baker.
On May 30, 1948, near Clarksburg, she was united in marriage to Otto A. Schoeneberg, who preceded her in death on March 6, 2000.
Before marriage, she was a teacher, and after marriage, she was a homemaker and substitute teacher. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, California, volunteered as a teacher in Sunday School and VBS, and helped in other ways as needed. She attended elementary and secondary school at Clarksburg and took classes at Warrensburg Teachers College for three years. She taught and later substituted at Jamestown School.
Emogene is survived by three sons, Sylvian Schoeneberg (Brenda), Albert Schoeneberg (Beth), and Larry Schoeneberg (Cheryl), all of California; two daughters, Esther Porter (Dwayne), High Point and Kay Odneal (Kelly) of California; one sister, Nadine Harris, California; one sister-in-law, Anna Laura Zagare; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vera Kerr.
