Pintos place second at New Bloomfield Tournament
California Pintos baseball placed second in the first tournament of the regular season last week.
Evan Holmes
Evan Holmes is the sports reporter for the California Democrat. He is a resident of Jefferson City and originally from Warrensburg. He graduated from Warrensburg High School in 2016 and later graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2021 with a degree in digital media production with a minor in sports communication.
During his time in college he worked for the University of Central Missouri's Sports Media Crew (CTV) and acted as the co-host its sports radio show "Campus Chatter." He also acted as one of Central Missouri's commentators during the MIAA Men's and Women's Basketball Championships in Kansas City for five years. After college, Holmes spent one year as a radio commentator for KDKD-FM from Clinton, Missouri, and four years as a public address announcer for the Sedalia Bombers baseball team.
Holmes began his career for the Democrat in July 2021. As the Democrat's sports reporter, he provides information from various athletic events in California and throughout Moniteau County.
