California Area Chamber of Commerce Meets

The California Area Chamber of Commerce Board met Thursday, Aug. 11, at City Hall. Guests included California R-I Superintendent Dwight Sanders, Hawthorne Bank Representative Becky Lawson, Cargill Representative A.J. Henry who were later voted in as Chamber Board members. Topics discussed included the giving out of $1,500 in Chamber scholarships, ribbon cuttings at Move It To Lose It and XXTreme Glass, the Signage meeting which took place Tuesday, Aug. 9, and the Ham and Turkey Festival plans.
