Filing for the Tuesday, April 5, municipal election closed at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18.
The election includes school boards, city offices, fire districts, ambulance districts and water districts as well as local and county issues.
For the City of California, candidates for Mayor are Norris Gerhart, Charles Roll and Kathi Swearingen.
Only one candidate filed for City of California Board of Aldermen from each ward. Those who have filed are Ward I—Tony Wineland, Ward II—Cameron Freiner and Ward III—Carol B. Rackers.
