At the last regular meeting of the 2010-11 school year, the Tipton R-VI School Board reviewed the end of year reports and approved the preliminary budget for the 2011-12 school year.

According to a report of Elementary Principal Kelly Kohler, the elementary school enrollment at the end of the school year was 359 with an average daily attendance of 96.44 percent.

Librarian Ellen Twyman reported there were 22,500 checkouts from the library by about 380 elementary students over the last year. There are more than 12,000 books in the elementary library collection with 117 added during the last year to the non-fiction/reference section and 174 to the fiction section.

The elementary library has seating for 49 students and eight student-use computers with Internet access. These computers can be used for many purposes including research and word processing. Student aids from high school have assisted this past year in various needed capacities.
