Sixth annual Russellville Engine Show and Frog Leg Festival on June 9-12.

Friday's lineup begins at 6 p.m. with the Little Mr. and Miss Russellville Pageant for ages two through five years.

The Boy Scouts will do a flag retirement ceremony which will be followed by the Miss Teen Pageant for girls 11 to 14. Each girl who participates will receive a bag of goodies.

After the pageant it's time for some fun with karaoke. Hot wings and barbecue wings will be on the menu Friday as well as polish sausage, hotdogs, nachos and funnel cakes.

Saturday there is a full day of events planned. A new event this year is the barbecue cook-off. Consider entering, you might win the prize money. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.

The parade will begin at 9:30 with line up at 8:30. Vendors and exhibitors will be sent up in the park from 9 to 4. The opening ceremony will be at 11 followed by Summit Grass. The car cruise in will be at the Scrivner Morrow Funeral Home beginning at 11 and the Cole County Deputies and Russellville-Lohman Firefighters will be in the water balloon throw. At 2 there will be a live auction and the chainsaw and two-man cross-cut saw competition.

Osage Drifters will perform after the live auction. Other activities throughout the day include free kids games, National Guard inflatables, Block Party Trailer with Bounce House, barrel train rides, engines, tractors, flag collection booth and more.

Saturday's menu will feature frog legs, brats, polish sausage, hotdogs, chili dogs, corn dogs, funnel cakes, nachos and drinks.

The weekend will conclude with the community worship service at 11 a.m. in the Park. The community pool will hold a spaghetti dinner in the school cafeteria.
