The Russellville varsity girls cross country team has much to celebrate after winning the Class 1 State Cross Country Championships Saturday at Oak Hills Golf Center, Jefferson City. Last year, which was Russellville's first trip to the state cross country meet, the Lady Indians won the title by just one point, however, this year was a different story as they secured first place with a 13-point cushion (86 points) to defeat second place finisher Salisbury (99 points). Plato finished in third place with 108.
