Tipton School Board meets

At the regular monthly Tipton R-VI School Board meeting on Monday, Nov. 14, students Makayla Morris and Mason Garber reported to the board about a trip taken to Kansas City to visit the Harry S Truman Library and Museum and the World War I Museum. The students qualified for the trip based on elementary and junior high advanced MAP scores.

The snow and ice removal bid was approved from Grun-D Construction LLC for six parking lots and driveways. In case of eight inches or more in one occurance, the rate is higher.

Elementary Principal Kelly Kohler reported enrollment in October of 288, 96.81 percent attendance, down slightly from 97.03 percent from a year ago. there was 94 percent attendance at the parent-teacher conferences. Contact at school or by phone has been 100 percent.
