Lady Pinto Hog Roast held Sunday

To start off another season of Lady Pinto Basketball, the team hosted the twelfth annual Hog Roast to make some money and say thanks to their supporters.

The hog roast was Sunday, Nov. 6, and this year they had approximately 400 guests attend. Lutz Barbecue provided the pulled pork and Burgher Haus provided the chicken.

The dinner served by the girls basketball team and parents started at 11 a.m. and went to 1 p.m.

Sydney Deeken, sophomore, said "I love the food and talking with the supporters about how we could not do this without them."

The hog roast is a fun and social way to show your support for the girls basketball team. The best part is seeing the support from former basketball players. Once a Lady Pinto, always a Lady Pinto.

Taron Morris, senior, said he loves to "support his fellow basketball players."

Sports at California would not be what it is without the great support of the community and other students.
