Moniteau County Enhanced Enterprize Zone application goes forward

The application for the Enhanced Enterprize Zone (EEZ) for Moniteau County should be submitted very soon for approval by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

According to Executive Director Ken Parrett of the Moniteau County Regional Economic Development Council (MRED), the last step was a public hearing on the matter which was held Tuesday, Aug. 30.

No issues were brought up at the hearing and the application process will continue forward.

A previous step required all the city councils to agree to the tax abatement necessary to apply for the EEZ. Parrett had attended the city councils of all of the towns and explained the actions needed by each.
