The time and place for the meeting called by the United States Postal Service to discuss the future of the McGirk Post Office facility has been changed to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the McGirk Community Center.
According to a letter and survey sent to many of the McGirk postal patrons, the meeting is to discuss the findings of a discontinuation feasibility study involving a review of delivery and retail operations of a postal facility and address community concerns.
The letter indicates local post office box customers would be redirected to the Centertown Post Office, or go to home delivery.
