Upcoming Road Work for Mid-Missouri

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Mid-Missouri area.

Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur.

Projects include lane closures. And delays can be expected.

All counties can expect mowing during daylight hours. Motorists should be aware and slow for moving equipment on the side of the road.

Cole County

Bridge replacement, supported by the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program, continues on Route D across Logan Creek in Lohman. The bridge is closed through late August. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction.

Improvements will be made during daylight hours at 12 intersections in an 8.5-mile stretch of U.S. 54 between Old Bass Road and Route CC. One lane will be open at all times, but delays are likely.

Maintenance to Missouri Boulevard (Business U.S. 50) between Missouri 179 and Ohio Street will occur Monday and Tuesday. One lane will be open.

Chip sealing to extend the pavement life will begin the week of Aug. 13 on Route D between U.S. 54 and Route C. Loose gravel can be expected for several days after completion. Drivers should reduce speed.

Chip sealing also will be done the same week on Route Z between Missouri 179 and Old U.S. 50.

Boone County

Construction of a new diamond interchange and southbound lanes on U.S. 63 north of Route 163 to Route H will cause periodic lane closures.

Sidewalk construction continues on Route 163 (Providence Road) between Business Loop 70 and Rogers Street in Columbia.

Grading, drainage, widening and paving will be done on Route K between Route 163 and the end of state maintenance. Lane closures may occur.

Callaway County

The Missouri 94 bridge over Eagle Creek west of Portland will remain closed through late August.

Road maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday on Route BB between U.S. 54 and Route AA.

Camden County

Bridge replacement continues on Route 5 over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck.

Gasconade County

Bridge replacement also continues on Route W across Second Creek northeast of Route K.

The U.S. 50 bridge across the Gasconade River west of River Road will be reduced to one lane for maintenance Monday and Tuesday.

Chip sealing will begin the week of Aug. 14 along Route A between U.S. 50 and Missouri 28. Loose gravel can be expected for several days after work.

Chip sealing continues through Thursday on Routes B and P between Missouri 28 and the Phelps County line. Speeds should be reduced, and crews will flag traffic through on one lane.

Route V between Missouri 19 and Route T continues to receive chip sealing through Thursday.

Chip sealing on Route Y between Missouri 19 and Route A continues through Thursday.

Chip sealing will be this week on Route Z between Missouri 19 and Route T.

Maries County

The bridge across Spring Creek south of U.S. 63 along Route A will continue to be closed for replacement through mid-August.

Resurfacing should begin this week on Missouri 133 between Missouri 52 and Route BB.

Chip sealing continues through Thursday on Route H between Missouri 68 and Route C.

One lane will be open during roadway maintenance Monday through Thursday on Route AA between U.S. 63 and Route T.

Maries and Gasconade counties

Route C between Missouri 28 and Route B will be reduced to one lane as chip sealing continues through Thursday.

Miller County

The Route 17 bridge across Saline Creek south of Saline Road continues to be closed for bridge replacement through late August.

The bridge across Humphreys Creek west of Whalen Creek Road on Missouri 52 also remains closed through late August for bridge replacement.

Miller and Camden counties



Chip sealing will extend through Wednesday on Route C between Route 17 and Route A.

Miller and Maries counties



Resurfacing and striping are scheduled this week on Missouri 52 between Route 17 and Missouri 133.

Miller and Morgan counties



Route W between Business 54 and Route Y - Shoulder widening is scheduled to begin the week of Aug. 13. Periodic lane closures may occur, and motorists are advised to use caution through the area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in December 2012.

Morgan County

Road maintenance Monday will reduce traffic to one lane on Route 5 at Route 135 in Laurie.

Road maintenance on Route AA between Missouri 52 and Route C is scheduled for Tuesday.

Osage County

U.S. 63 between Route E and Route T will be reduced to one lane for pavement repair Monday through Thursday.

Roadway resurfacing continues through mid-August on Route 89 between Route 100 and Route E.

Route K between Route 89 and the end of state maintenance will be reduced to one lane Monday through Wednesday for maintenance.

Route T between U.S. 63 and the Maries County line will receive chip sealing beginning Tuesday.
